Canada West Volleyball Club
Our Story
Club History
Since its inception in 1997, Canada West Volleyball Club has been a beacon of excellence in the volleyball community. Founded by Bruce Edwards and Tony Wells, both of whom boast impressive careers with the National Team and professional leagues in Europe, the club has grown to become a powerhouse in Canadian volleyball. In 2002, Bruce Edwards took the reins full-time, launching 11 teams that would set the standard for success. Training out of the premier Rally Pointe facility, we have proudly maintained our reputation as one of Canada’s most welcoming and accessible hard court volleyball clubs.
Club Mission
Our mission is simple: to ignite passion and elevate performance. We are committed to providing Calgary and area volleyball players with unparalleled opportunities to train under elite coaches and compete at the highest levels, all within North America’s top volleyball facility.
Club Coaches & Philosophy
Our coaching staff is second to none, featuring former national team players and Provincial/National champions. We are dedicated to delivering world-class coaching, challenging our athletes to excel while fostering a positive and enjoyable team environment.
Kevin Wenzel Memorial Scholarship
As a tribute to the memory, dedication and positive influence provided in his time with Canada West Volleyball Club, we are proud to continue the Annual Kevin Wenzel Memorial Scholarship.
